Steam meter
Steam meters are needed to monitor whether a business is operating correctly and efficiently.
The benefits of a steam meter;
Calculating steam costs by measuring the steam consumption of the facility and its various units.
Checking whether the correct amount and pressure of steam is being supplied to the processes in the facility.
The ability to monitor investments made in energy recovery.
Monitoring the efficiency of facilities and processes.
Steam Meters Operating on the Pressure Difference Principle
In this type of meter, flow rate is measured by multiplying the square of the differential pressure by a specific coefficient. The best-known example of this type is the orifice plate steam meter.
Steam Meters Operating on the Fluid Velocity Measurement Principle
In this type of meter, fluid flow rate is measured by multiplying the fluid velocity by the meter cross-section. These meters are described as vortex meters. In vortex meters, an element that obstructs the flow creates vortices.
